Applications for membership
The Physiological Society of New Zealand has around 100 members. Membership of Society provides access to the meetings that the Society organizes either independently or in conjuction with other societies or groups. Applications for membership are accepted throughout the year and confirmed at the Annual General Meeting. Download the application form here.
The Society offers the following membership categories:
Full members usually hold an appointment in physiology or another related science in a recognized institution in the NZ or abroad, and are active in research or teaching. The dues for full members are currently $75 per annum.
Student members are usually graduate students in physiology or a related science at a recognized institution in the NZ or abroad. Registration fees for scientific meetings held by the Society are subsidised for student members. The Society generally provides additional support to assist student members attend scientific meetings. The dues for student members are currently $20 per annum.
Sustaining Membership is open to interested companies or organisations subject to the provision of appropriate support to the Society.
Members who have made an outstanding contribution to the Society may be elected Life Members and this will be Honorary.
