Professor Allan Herbison, of the Department of Physiology and Centre of Neuroendocrinology (University of Otago), has been awarded the Health Research Council's Liley Medal for "outstanding" research which could lead to new treatments for infertility.
Distinguished Professor Peter Hunter wins the Rutherford Medal

Auckland Bioengineering Institute Director Professor Peter Hunter has won the prestigious Rutherford Medal, New Zealand’s top science honour.
Peter Hunter elected PSNZ President

Peter Hunter was elected President of the Physiological Society of New Zealand at its Annual General Meeting in November 2007. Director of the Auckland Bioengineering Institute, Peter Hunter is a longstanding member of the Society and leads the international Physiome initiative.
Jenny Clarkson wins Hubbard Prize 2007
