Officers of the Society

According to the Constitution, Council should comprise: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Proceedings Editor and Newsletter Editor (these Office Bearers have a three-year term of office and can be re-appointed for a further two years*) and six Councillors (three-year term only). In accordance with the election rules, the secretary must notify society members of any impending vacancies in the council and call for nominations at least three months before the expiration of a term of office. Council has powers to co-opt for a year at a time (co-opted members can be re-co-opted). Total number of Council members shall not exceed 14. By a resolution of the AGM Office Bearers can be elected for a third term of office (three years) based on a proven need for the incumbent to continue.
