Payment options:
Bank transfer (preferred)
Complete the membership form
Pay your membership fee by direct bank transfer from your personal account
Once payment is received, the treasurer will send you a receipt which you can use to apply for reimbursement from grants/research accounts as per your institutional processes (for Uni of Akl this is via Concur)
Institutional purchase order
Complete membership form (for each member individually)
Submit a request to your institution to raise a purchase order and attach your membership form responses (automatically emailed to you) to the PO request
Uni of Akl: supplier code 0000042171, account code 850 for subscriptions
Uni of Otago: supplier code 2820800, category Medical societies 85131603, re-assign to the South Hub
The institution will then send the PO to the PSNZ treasurer who will provide an invoice directly to the purchasing department
If your institution's ordering process requires that you 'receipt' the order before payment is made, please ensure that you do this
Once payment is received the Treasurer will send you a receipt for your records
Membership categories:
Full members usually hold an appointment in physiology or another related science in a recognized institution in NZ or abroad, and are active in research or teaching.
The fees for full members are currently:
$100 for 1 year
$275 for 3 years
$450 for 5 years
Student members are usually graduate students in physiology or a related science at a recognized institution in NZ or abroad. Registration fees for scientific meetings held by the Society are subsidised for student members. The Society generally provides additional support to assist student members to attend scientific meetings via travel awards.
The fees for student members are currently:
$100 for PhD students for entire duration of PhD
$25 for PhD students in the final year of their PhD
$25 for Hons/MSc students for 1 year
New students need to provide a letter from their supervisor confirming student status at the time of application.
Sustaining Membership is open to interested companies or organisations subject to the provision of appropriate support to the Society.
Members who have made an outstanding contribution to the Society may be elected Life Members and this will be Honorary.
