The “Excellence in Research Award” was first initiated in 2016. This prize is awarded every two years for the best researcher at sub-professorial levels (Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Senior Research Fellow) who have at least 8 years of research experience post‑PhD (allowing for career interruptions).
How to Apply:
Send your application, consisting of the following, to the PSNZ Secretary, deadline TBC.
A one-page summary of the significance of the applicant’s research and evidence of active participation in PSNZ.
A detailed CV including all publications.
After Application:
Applications will be assessed by a committee appointed by PSNZ Council and the winner will be selected based on the CV, scientific achievement and their active role in PSNZ.
The winner will be invited to deliver a 30-minute presentation at the MedSciNZ Congress.
The winner will receive a certificate and a cash prize of $500 at the MedSciNZ dinner.
No award shall be made if none of the applicants merit such recognition.
