The prize is awarded annually for the Best Student Poster Presentation at the Society’s Annual Scientific Meeting.
Eligibility:
• Applicants must be a research student at a tertiary institution in New Zealand. Postgraduate research students at all levels (Hons, MSc, PhD) are encouraged to apply.
• Primary supervisors must be a member of the PSNZ at the time of application
• Students must also be members of the PSNZ at the time of application.
How to Apply:
While submitting your abstract online, select the poster prize category.
After application:
• Finalists will be expected to present their posters to the judges at the MedSciNZ conference
• The quality of the presentation and the ability to answer questions will be judged by the Committee and will contribute to the selection of the winner.
• Typically, one award will be dedicated to a PhD student candidate and one award will be dedicated to a MSc or Hons candidate.
• The winner(s) will be announced at the MedSci dinner.
• The prize is a certificate and $250.
• No award shall be made if none of the work merits such recognition.
